The Provident Bank Foundation Supports Diabetes Testing For Local Residents With Donation To HackensackUMC Palisades Foundation
The Provident Bank Foundation recently made a generous gift to the HackensackUMC Foundation that will help improve the health and wellness of residents with limited access to care throughout Hudson and southern Bergen Counties.
Jane A. Kurek, Executive Director of The Provident Bank Foundation; Jorge L. Tutiven, Assistant Vice President and Banking Center Manager of Provident Bank's Union City Branch; and Robert J. Polanco, First Vice President and Market Manager of Hudson County for Provident Bank, visited HackensackUMC Palisades to present $10,000 in funding to support the hospital's Community Outreach Program. The program addresses the healthcare challenges of individuals in Hudson and Bergen Counties with special emphasis on HgA1c diabetes screening and education. Over the course of the grant, the Community Outreach Program will reach 2,400 individuals at more than 35 healthcare screening events.
