Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center Offers Community Service Merit Scholarships For Local High School Seniors

Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center's Community Service Merit Scholarship Program will provide $30,000 in scholarship funding for students at eight local high schools in the hospital's primary service area.

The scholarship program is designed to recognize and reward high school seniors who have demonstrated significant accomplishments in community service while maintaining academic success. The online application process will be open from February 14, 2018 through March 2, 2018. Graduating seniors (class of 2018) from each of the following high schools will be selected to each receive a merit scholarship in the amount of $2,000:

  • Cliffside Park High School (two winners)
  • High Tech High School — North Bergen (two winners)
  • Hoboken Charter School (one winner)
  • Hoboken High School (two winners)
  • Memorial High School — West New York (two winners)
  • North Bergen High School (two winners)
  • Union City High School (two winners)
  • Weehawken High School (two winners)

"Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center's Community Service Merit Scholarship Program will reward high school seniors who share our hospital's commitment to community service and caring for our neighbors," said Anthony J. "We understand that paying for college can be challenging, and we hope that our Community Service Merit Scholarships will help lessen the burden for the deserving recipients."

The online application process will be open from February 14, 2018 through March 2, 2018. Recommendations will be made by high school guidance counselors, and scholarship applications will be reviewed by a committee of community volunteers. Scholarship recipients will be announced in May 2018.
