Pastoral Care Services

Palisades Medical Center offers pastoral care services to help patients explore spiritual questions about God and the meaning of their illness and suffering. The pastoral care chaplain and chaplain assistants may often pray with patients and/or discuss spiritual questions and concerns on a one-to-one basis. The chaplain and chaplain assistants can assist patients through the healing process. Pastoral care chaplains can be called upon at any time of the day or night.

Palisades' pastoral care ministry brings comfort and offers a listening ear to help patients and their families stay in touch with their faith. Pastoral care also offers support to those who may not have a clear religious or spiritual preference or practice.

The Departments of Pastoral Care & Education will arrange visits from a patient's own minister, pastor, priest, rabbi, or other clergy member upon request. We have volunteer Eucharistic ministers on the premises that provide Holy Communion.
