Mental Health Care

Sometimes life gets complicated and messy, and it is not always fair...and sometimes depression, driven by physical, environmental, or emotional forces, sets in...and sometimes alcohol and/or drugs, somehow, sadly begin to rule one's life, before inevitably seeking to destroy it...and sometimes simple fears or anxieties or inhibitions or stresses preclude people from being the best that they can be. There can be a thousand different variations on a theme impacting one's mental health, and our caring clinical professionals are in position to help with them all by either counseling or working directly with patients — or by accessing and/or directing them to the necessary resources or treatment centers.

Patients in crisis receive emergency care at our hospital. We also manage a 24-hour crisis hotline staffed by mental health professionals. You may reach this hotline at (201) 854-6300.

Palisades Medical Center's outpatient counseling program provides community-based care for individuals and families. Help is available for substance abuse, family violence, and more. Fees are affordable and based on income and need.
