More

Palisades Medical Center is the first hospital in the area to offer contingency screening for Down syndrome. This method for combining first and second trimester Down syndrome results offers high detection rates with lower false positive rates than traditional screens. Most women receive their results after the first trimester screen, with only a small percentage of women requiring additional testing.
